CARL THIEME

The Carl Thieme porcelain company was founded in 1886(or 1836) in Potschappel, Saxony, Germany, by Carl Thieme. The town of Potschappel, along with the nearby towns of Dresden and Meissen, has a long history of porcelain production dating back to the 18th century.

The company quickly became one of the most successful porcelain factories in Germany. In 1900, the company was awarded a gold medal at the World's Fair in Paris for its exquisite porcelain figurines. The Carl Thieme porcelain company continued to produce high-quality porcelain until its closure in 1935.

Today, antique Carl Thieme porcelain pieces are highly collectible and can be found in museums and private collections around the world. They are valued for their artistic quality and historical significance in the world of European porcelain manufacturing.
